and
from
Berothai,
cities
of
Hadadezer.

Hamath
heard
that
David
had
struck
all
the
army
of
Hadadezer.

Toi
sent

King
David
to
ask
of
his
peace,
and
to
bless
him,
because
he
had
fought
against
Hadadezer
and
struck
him.
For
Hadadezer
had
been
a
man
of
wars
against

Jehovah,

name

himself

he
had
struck

Syrians
in
the
Valley
of
Salt,
eighteen
thousand
men.

And
he
put
garrisons
in
all
Edom;
and
all
Edom
became
servants
to
David.
And
Jehovah

David
in

he

David
reigned

executed
justice
and
righteousness
to
all

LORD

David
victorious
wherever
he

Jerusalem.

Betah

Berothai,
Hadadezer's

When
King
Toi

heard
that
David

defeated

entire
army

Hadadezer,

he
sent

son
Joram

King
David

greet
him
and
to
congratulate
him
because
David
had
fought
against
Hadadezer
and
defeated
him,
for
Toi
and
Hadadezer
had
fought
many
wars.

had
