2. And it came to pass when men began to be numerous upon the earth, and daughters were born to them,

3. that the Alex. angels of God sons of God having seen the daughters of men that they were beautiful, took to themselves wives of all whom they chose.

3. And the LORD H3068 said H559 , My spirit H7307 shall not H3808 always H5769 strive H1777 with man H120 , for that he H1931 also H7945 H1571 is flesh H1320 : yet his days H3117 shall be H1961 a hundred H3967 and twenty H6242 years H8141 .

4. And the Lord God said, My Spirit shall certainly not remain among these men for ever, because they are flesh, but their days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

5. Now the giants were upon the earth in those days; and after that when the sons of God were wont to go in to the daughters of men, they bore children to them, those were the giants of old, the men of renown.

5. And GOD H3068 saw H7200 that H3588 the wickedness H7451 of man H120 was great H7227 in the earth H776 , and that every H3605 imagination H3336 of the thoughts H4284 of his heart H3820 was only H7535 evil H7451 continually H3605 H3117 .

6. And the Lord God, having seen that the wicked actions of men were multiplied upon the earth, and that every one in his heart was intently brooding over evil continually,

7. then God laid it to heart that he had made man upon the earth, and he pondered it deeply.

8. And God said, I will blot out man whom I have made from the face of the earth, even man with cattle, and reptiles with flying creatures of the sky, for I am Gr. I have thought or reasoned; Alex. eyumwyhn, I became angry grieved that I have made them.

9. But Noe found grace before the Lord God.

10. And these are the generations of Noe. Noe was a just man; being perfect in his generation, Noe was well-pleasing to God.

10. And Noah H5146 begot H3205 three H7969 sons H1121 , H853 Shem H8035 , H853 Ham H2526 , and Japheth H3315 .

|
11. And Noe begot three sons, Sem, Alex. Chaph Cham, Japheth.
|
11. The earth H776 also was corrupt H7843 before H6440 God H430 , and the earth H776 was filled H4390 with violence H2555 .

|
12. But the earth was corrupted before God, and the earth was filled with iniquity.
|
12. And God H430 looked upon H7200 H853 the earth H776 , and, behold H2009 , it was corrupt H7843 ; for H3588 all H3605 flesh H1320 had corrupted H7843 H853 his way H1870 upon H5921 the earth H776 .

13. And the Lord God saw the earth, and it was corrupted; because all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth.

14. And the Lord God said to Noe, Gr. The time of every man A period of all men is come before me; because the earth has been filled with iniquity by them, and, behold, I destroy them and the earth.

14. Make H6213 thee an ark H8392 of gopher H1613 wood H6086 ; rooms H7064 shalt thou make H6213 H853 in the ark H8392 , and shalt pitch H3722 it within H4480 H1004 and without H4480 H2351 with pitch H3724 .

15. Make therefore for thyself an ark of square timber; thou shalt make the ark in Gr. nests compartments, and thou shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

15. And this H2088 is the fashion which H834 thou shalt make H6213 it of : The length H753 of the ark H8392 shall be three H7969 hundred H3967 cubits H520 , the breadth H7341 of it fifty H2572 cubits H520 , and the height H6967 of it thirty H7970 cubits H520 .

16. And thus shalt thou make the ark; three hundred cubits the length of the ark, and fifty cubits the breadth, and thirty cubits the height of it.

16. A window H6672 shalt thou make H6213 to the ark H8392 , and in H413 a cubit H520 shalt thou finish H3615 it above H4480 H4605 ; and the door H6607 of the ark H8392 shalt thou set H7760 in the side H6654 thereof; with lower H8482 , second H8145 , and third H7992 stories shalt thou make H6213 it.

17. Thou shalt narrow the ark in making it, and in a cubit above thou shalt finish it, and the door of the ark thou shalt make out of the side on the side; with lower, second, and third stories thou shalt make it.

17. And, behold H2009 , I , even I H589 , do bring H935 H853 a flood H3999 of waters H4325 upon H5921 the earth H776 , to destroy H7843 all H3605 flesh H1320 , wherein H834 is the breath H7307 of life H2416 , from under H4480 H8478 heaven H8064 ; and every thing H3605 that H834 is in the earth H776 shall die H1478 .

18. And behold I bring a Gr. flood, water flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven, and whatsoever things are upon the earth shall die.

19. And I will establish my covenant with thee, and thou shalt enter into the ark, and thy sons and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.

20. And of all cattle and of all reptiles and of all wild beasts, even of all flesh, thou shalt bring by Gr. two, two pairs of all, into the ark, that thou mayest feed them with thyself: male and female they shall be.

21. Of all winged birds after their kind, and of all cattle after their kind, and of all reptiles creeping upon the earth after their kind, pairs of all shall come in to thee, male and female to be fed with thee.

21. And take H3947 thou H859 unto thee of all H4480 H3605 food H3978 that H834 is eaten H398 , and thou shalt gather H622 it to H413 thee ; and it shall be H1961 for food H402 for thee , and for them.

22. And thou shalt take to thyself of all kinds of food which ye eat, and thou shalt gather them to thyself, and it shall be for thee and them to eat.

22. Thus did H6213 Noah H5146 ; according to all H3605 that H834 God H430 commanded H6680 him, so H3651 did H6213 he.

23. And Noe did all things whatever the Lord God commanded him, so did he.
